Not as fast as home broadband, fast enough to carry out daily tasks but probably best to save the excessive downloading for another time. |

T Mobile has now brought out a new mobile internet that you can take anywhere without a cable. There are two packages to choose from and can be paid monthly with a 12 month contract or as an extra to your T Mobile monthly bill.
The Web n' Walk is the laptop broadband connection service. This service enables you to take your laptop everyone without any cables in the way. The internet is linked up to the laptop by a USB modem and a data card. The internet speed is 1.8Mbps and with the service you will be able to browse, email, download, stream and instant message. The Web n' Walk Plus is available for £29 a month for a 12 month contract. Alternatively you could sign up to a Web n' Walk Max for £44 a month which has the extra services like Skype and jajar.com.
Hotspots, service is where you can drop in to registered places across the UK with your laptop and be automatically connected to the internet. The registered locations include Starbucks, BAA airports, Borders bookshops and many hotels. There are 20,000 branded Hotspots in 30,000 locations. It is a reliable service with proven technology and it has no software to download so it is easy to set up when you are on the go. There is customer support available online and by phone and the whole Hotspots service costs £20 a month. Hotspots can be paid by three different ways: as part of a monthly contract, a limited period pass or pay per use and it will be charged along with your monthly T Mobile bill.
Both these services allow you to carry on using the internet where ever you are. Its probably best to find out if the Hotspots locations are places that you would go to before you decide if you go with the Hotspots or the Walk n' Web package.
