    Review by Paula Helsby - 18 October 2007 was with tiscali BBand for over 12 months, and whilst not a great service it was ok for what i had to use it for.THEN decided to transfer telephone line and calls to TISCALI Smart talk - BIG MISTAKE. appalling service, no dial tones, person on other end couldnt hear me or vice versa, caller display disappeared all the time, telephone wouldnt ring and WENT straight to 1571!!! i managed to cancel AFTER 6 WEEKS but have to pay for another 30days not 12 months which i dont mind cos im now back with trusty BT - DO NOT VENTURE INTO THIS AT ALL!!! |
    Review by ALASTAIR SPALDING - 24 August 2007 Have been with Tiscali since 05 dial up and now 2mb unlimited and has been very good no drop outs etc.
But have spent the last week undoing an unwanted upgrade. if you ring to ask about an upgrade make sure that you make it very clear if you want to take the offer then or later or you may find youself in my deep dark sicky hole. will give 5 for my present package and 0 for the mess they have made and their costomer services which I have to say is a joke. cheers |
    Review by Milcote - 24 August 2007 From a dial up I upgraded to 8 Mb Max bundle whic included telephone line rental, Anytrime calls and 8 Mb broadband.
A biggest mistake because after many calls and emails it became clear that the integrated package doen't work on standard bt line. I was left without the use of phone. In the end after 2 months of all the hassle and costs, I went back to bt, but still paying for Tiscali because of their 12 month contract from which you can't get out. Therefore, be warned |
    Review by Dan - 26 July 2007 I've had no problems at all with Tiscali. Always manage to get onto the net at a good speed for what i need. Managed to upgrade from 1 meg broadband to 8 meg and even saved £2 a month off the bill! |
    Review by Chris - 30 May 2007 I have had nothing but problems with Tiscali over the past 6-8 months, I have tried in vain to upgrade to 8mb from my 2mb package. When I eventually got through to customer service they informed that I only had a 1mb package although they have been charging me for 8mb, they have amended my bill on countless occassions but for no apparent technical reason they are unable to upgrade me to 8mb.

    Review by Linda - 23 January 2007 Tiscali is no good if you want to use your computer in the evenings..
Tiscali say unlimited broadband,but they don,t tell you how slow it is..They tell you not to use it for anything other than "browsing" between the hours of 6pm to 11pm every day. This means if you come home from work in the evening and want to play on line games you can't.. you can not use your computer for on line games ,or any thing else as it is so slow it is not worth bothering with...

peak times instead of sharing bandwidth with normal users.

    Review by Daren Beavan - 12 January 2007 All I can say Tiscali is RUBBISH . I lost ADSL signal numerous times. I called customer support, they won't listen and just want to go through there list of questions then make you wait 2 days for a technician to call you back. going to try NTL heard good reports about them can't be worse than tiscali. |

The free number provided with their disc in WHSmith didn't work and I got shunted around 3 different numbers and spoke to someone whose facts conflicted with what was on the disc package. This was not an encouragement to sign up. |
    Review by R.C. - 20 December 2006 Problems with connection but helpline o.k-sent me new equipment-bt finally admit there is a fault on the line. Tiscali contacted bt and they said would send engineer. Jury is out-put me on wrong package but sorted it with goodwill gesture. will they refund me calls cost?-have to wait and see. Sais if bt problem have toa sk them. |
