Review by Aileen - 17 August 2007 Lots of disconnections.been on the phone to them 2-3 times daily at my expense only to be told to do the same things over and over again ,really frustrating, they make you feel as if you are doing something wrong, trying to get them to do a phone line check is terrible they would just have you do the same checks day in and day out.FED UP WITH THEM,ps when you pnone them you are talking to them for about 20 mins at a time, very expensive. |
Review by lyns - 16 August 2007 Nightmare been talking to tech support regulary for 12 months now after many severe problems. after talking to 6 different people today I finally got them to cancel my account, 3 people told me it was my BT landline (I dont think so!). Many softyware programmes are not compatable with aol including macafee which AOL use and charge for! Dont touch them it is not worth it... |
Review by Tony McBride - 1 August 2007 I've been with AOL now for a few months and have never had any bother. £14.99 a month, excellent connection speeds and unlimited downloads - happy days! |
Review by Thomas Flynn - 20 July 2007 Never had any issues with AOL, bar a BT line fault - AOL were fantastic in handling it, and called me back daily to keep me informed of how BT were doing on repairs. Excellent Customer service, and great speeds. |
Review by Jennifer Thomson - 16 June 2007 AOL may not be the fastest ISP, but i've had little hassle with them, disconnections for me are few and far between. Maybe 1 a month, its easy to use but the browser needs an overhaul its very out of date. Also MAC support would be a bonus. |
Review by Sally Spooner - 8 June 2007 I have spent hours on the phone to aol technical people, always they go through the same checks, but won't check the line in the end I have gone back to dial-up as I unfortunately have a recent contract with them. I had been with aol for years but as soon as my new contract expires I'll go elsewhere I and my husband are disgusted |
Review by Phil - 26 April 2007 AOL used to be great but over the last few months keep getting disconnected and is difficult to reconnect. Contacting AOL is a waste of time as no help is offered to rectify the situation. I am looking to change, but who to?? |
