Manchester City have announced a mobile ticketing program due to be launched in the new year. Mobile devices will be sent to selected season ticket holders. In the future the mobile phones will also allow fans to pay for items at the club shop and food outlets on their phone. A spokesperson from the club said: "Mobile contactless services will mean the end of bulging wallets - there will be no need to carry credit and debit cards, travel cards, loyalty cards and security passes. And, we will still be able to provide the information and match information for football fans on one mobile phone."
