Every year we see advanced improvements in the technology we use, with new gadgets and software being introduced. Although it is fascinating and exciting to see new technology becoming part of our lives, there is a chance that it will make us lazy and antisocial. Instant messaging and webcam allows use to communicate with people all over the world but we often loose the personal element of the conversation due to lack of intonation in our voices. From the other point of view though is that it allows us to keep in touch with those all over the world that we cannot see, and we can communicate quickly and efficiently so we have more time to spend time with people face to face. Technology has gone even further with mobile fittings for purchases like glasses. Software can be downloaded from merchants and then can virtually try on glasses via their mobile. People can take snapshots themselves then combine it with the images of the glasses. This will allow people to buy more things without even leaving the house. This again is good for convenience but terrible for social interaction with the outside world and people in it. This type of software may extend to clothes and accessories shopping for those who really cannot stand shopping. This is a prime example of technology advancing considerably but this type of technology may have low effective sales due to no expert assistance. The advanced technology is definitely convenient but should not replace social interaction and accurate purchases.
