Virgin Media says it may take BSkyB to court if the argument over channels is not sorted in the next 30 days. At the end of last month Sky One, Sky Two, Sky News and Sky Sports news were removed from the Virgin Media System, and Branson and co say they are going to challenge Sky for its "abuse of dominance after they refused to settle the matter. Sky says that Virgin has turned down its recent offer of 3p per customer per day, and neither party has come back to the bargaining table since then. Virgin Media chief executive Steve Burch said: "We are not interested in prolonging this dispute any longer than necessary, but we will not allow Virgin Media or our customers to be the victim of Sky's market power." This matter is sure to roll and roll, with both companies vying for customers in the market place. Make no bones about it, whatever Virgin say the loss of these channels will affect the race for market dominance and is a big loss. But Branson has never been one to fall at the first hurdle and will fight back soon. More news when we have it….
