- Solution 2 UK Breakdown Coverage – This solution offers Roadside assistance, at-home, no call-out discount, accident care, repair referrals, and an optional van/pick-up coverage. The fees are £87.30 for a single person, £109.30 for a joint account, and £152.30 for a family account with the 10% online discount being included in this price.
- Solution 3 UK Breakdown Coverage – This solution offers Roadside assistance, recovery, at home, no call-out discount, accident care, repair referrals, and an optional onward travel and van/pickup coverage. The fees are £119.70 for a single person, £145.70 for a joint account, and £192.70 for a family account with the 10% online discount being included in this price.
- Solution 4 UK Breakdown Coverage – This solution offers all of the same features as solution 3 above except the onward travel comes with the package automatically rather than as an optional feature. The fees are £149.40 for a single person, £175.40 for a joint account, and £222.40 for a family account with the 10% online discount being included in this price.
Exploring exactly details of what each benefit actually is will aid the consumer in making an educated decision for his or her solution package. How much is too much, and how much is not enough? Roadside Assistance – Should you find yourself at least a quarter of a mile from your home, roadside assistance offers aid to travellers 365 days a year, 24-hours a day. If RAC can’t help you get your vehicle started, they will tow you to a garage within a 10-mile radius. Recovery – She the consumer find their vehicle has broken down while travelling in the UK, and no one locally can repair your vehicle, RAC will provide assistance for a maximum of 8 people to get safely back home. At-Home – Consumers are usually surprised when they discover they are not covered when within a quarter of a mile of their residence. No call-out discount – After a year, it will come time to renew your coverage. Accident care – Nothing is as scary or nerve wracking as being involved in an accident. No matter who is at fault, RAC will offer help and assistance should you be involved in an accident. Even if your vehicle is still drivable, RAC is there to help. Repair referrals – Breaking down on the side of the road is not an enjoyable experience. A majority of breakdown services only have a specific tow location available to you. However, with RAC UK Breakdown Coverage, you can choose which company you would like your vehicle towed to and then have repairs made. Onward travel – Just because your vehicle breaks down or is involved in an accident does not mean you have any fewer deadlines to meet. With onward travel, RAC offers a replacement car for a maximum of 3 days, offers overnight accommodations, or travel home while your vehicle is being repaired. Van/Pick-up coverage – This benefit simply allows the vehicle covered to be a van r pick-up rather than solely a car. Choosing which package is right for your needs is made easier when the facts are placed honestly and unbiased before you. Always choose a package that will meet your expectations. Too much of a package will cost you more money than necessary; too little coverage will leave you high and dry when the coverage is needed most.
